September 16, 201510 yr I bought a new joystick a couple of weeks ago and reassigned the joystick assignments in P3D for the aircraft I was flying at the time, the Airbus. I also have the paid version of FSUIPC and if I remember correctly, I may have assigned some buttons using it, but not positive at this point. I just switched to the Q400, and had some problems controlling flaps, trim etc, and when I looked at the assignments, they were incorrect so I changed them in the P3D controller menu to the correct assignments. Everything worked fine, and then this morning I loaded the Airbus for a few minutes to check something, and when I went to fly the Q400 after that, the same assignments that I had previously corrected, were incorrect again, so I had to go through the P3D control menu and reassign and delete some that were again conflicting with each other. Even one or two assignments from my keyboard had to be deleted. Now my question is, is it possible that possibly the assignments that I may have made in FSUIPC are overwriting the P3D control assignments when I load a different aircraft, and if so can I delete these assignments in FSUIPC? Or, am I better off just reassigning everything in FSUIPC as an aircraft specific assignment for each aircraft?
September 16, 201510 yr Moderator I ran into some of the same issues a while back - I just disabled all the joystick settings in P3D and programmed everything through FSUIPC. Haven't looked back since. I am in love with the aircraft profiles feature. I can switch between stick, yoke, prop, jets, single, multi and not have to worry about my assignments.
