Hi. Can anyone help me here?

 

For some reason I've lost the VC Shadows in my PMDG 737-600 and -700. But for some strange reason they are still present on the -800 and -900.

 

ForceVCShadowMap is 1 in the FSX.CFG file and HD Shadows is ticked and set for all aircraft in the Fixer.

 

I read somewhere that I need to go into the DX10 Toolbox and set them there but i'm unsure how to do this.

2. Aircraft>Turn on VC shadows

3. Select model to turn them on.

As an example, in the PMDG /700WL model folder, there are 3 .MDL files. Which one do I select???

 

I don't want to mess anything up.

I don't have the expansion, but it should be called PMDG_737_700WL_VC.

 

Mine is called PMDG_737_800WL_VC as I have the base NGX.

 

Just make a copy in case something goes wrong.

Selected the files in the Toolbox as you explained but still no shadows in the -600 or -700.

 

800 and 900 models are fine though.

Sounds to me like some how your still using an old version (service pack) of the 600-700 expansion.. The interior model before SP1D had an invisible wall around it (Needed to make the HGS work at the time), blocking the VC shadows, SP1D removed it.. I would suggest uninstalling, then reinstalling the SP1D version of the 737-NGX 600-700 expansion pack.

According to the Ops center, the expansion is up to date.

 

But I'll try that anyway.

OK. Uninstalled the 6/700 expansion, re-downloaded and re-installed.

 

Exactly the same. Still no VC Shadows in the 6/700 NGX. 8/900 is fine.
