Can an admin or mod maybe explain why the post I started in Hangar Chat 09/19/2015 has not been listed?

Just wonder if I broke a specific rule on hear,tho I am at a loss as to which one.

Speculative maybe but would be nice to have a discussion about it.

I removed the NexGenFlightSim link as it is advertising your website or someone's website.  As I mentioned n the past to others who have tried to post a link to this particular website here, please post the link in our FS Links section.  AVSIM is not going to be used as a conduit to your website (or anyone's website) with a direct link and then a link to a store.  You can have a banner in your signature with an inactive link to your website but not an active link.  We are going to enforce the use of the FS Links section here at AVSIM (currently under the Etc tab above) where anyone, payware or freeware or just users who want to show off their website, can post a link and provide detailed information about what's on the website.  This is the best I can do for this website and others who want to advertise their website in the Hangar Chat.

 

We have to do this as we have advertisers who pay to advertise here.  They do not need anyone to be coming into the forums and advertising their site and possible links to a competitors store or to things they are selling.  Otherwise, why should be have any advertising here?  I have no problems when one comes here and tells us about a new and exciting product but this particular website has been posted here several times and, in fact, as I recall, information about the website and the link was posted in every forum here at AVSIM just to make sure everyone got the word. 

 

So, have you broken any rules here at AVSIM?  Yes.  Probably unwittingly but that's why I'm here, to remove links posted by unwitting members.  See the AVSIM Terms of Service in regards to Advertising.  If you want discussions about new flight simulators, you should search for Next Generation Flight Simulators here and you will probably get many hits as the topic has been discussed more than just once here.

 

I apologize for just removing the topic you posted earlier and not providing an explanation.
