ATC directs to improper runway

Recommended Posts

My home airport is KBWI so I like to fly there in the sim. I use the PMDG 737. When I land at KBWI, ATC directs me to land on 33R. Even if I hit 0 after approach vectors, I am not given the option to pick 33L, because ATC is taking off aircraft on 33L and landing aircraft on 33R. The problem is 33R is a 5,000 ft general aviation runway and not appropriate for airliner traffic. Is there a file I can edit somewhere so VOXATC will not send airline traffic to 33R at KBWI? Thanks.

What's your AIRAC version?

I do not have VoxATC, but the normal way to solve this would be to shut down landings on runway 33R using ADE (Airport Design Editor) to modify the AFD file. You would select NO for landings on 33R, and then save and compile the modified file.

There is a Ray Smith freeware KBWI in the library here at Avsim. It perhaps may cure the issue for you.

It is AIRAC 1510 cycle. I don´t want to shut it down since I also fly smaller airplanes and would like AI GA traffic still on it. I will try the addon, thanks. So is this a VOXATC issue, where it matches runway length up to aircraft type, or is it a FSX issue where VOXATC is getting bad info from FSX?

I have the same problem, is a voxatc issue i think.

Sometimes the ATIS is wrong, sometimes the SID...

The same on the approach, they give you the STAR, but then they give approach procedure for diferent runway...

This happend allways in many payware airports (LEPA, LEBL, VHHH, VTBD, ecc...).

Modify the ADF is not a solution for me.

I do not understand why the eveloper do not find a solution, the forum is full topics talking about this problems
