August 13, 200520 yr Hmm...Peter Wilding's water textures are the only ones which don't produce hideous inexplicable streaks and patterns on my system. I'll give these a shot, though.
August 13, 200520 yr Author to me, it seems that they mirror the sky exactly. Could be wrong though. Nice textures, then grab the wave effect here at the library. Chase Barnett
August 14, 200520 yr Thanks for the link. Though - and NO offense to the talented authors - I still prefer OceanFX2 textures(or morewatr or waterzone - derivatives of same I think) with Vater.zip reflections(Vilks water). MS provided us with essentially six sets of water classes. Inland, deep ocean, and several variations of shallow ocean. None of the other texture sets I've encountered have faithfully represented these. A water class made with these textures in mind can be very visually effective...Also, Vater's reflections (remember water textures and reflection textures are different birds) lack any trace of that annoying repetitive sharp line, and the reflection minimizes convincingly at the horizon. Last, the color, while obvious, is not washed out. Just my vote - all of these efforts are excellent, and a little competition is good for all!Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
