I was curious as to, when an airline orders a plane for boeing, 744 in particular, what airport do they do the test flights and delivery flight from? thanksAdam

There's also a fair amount of flying out at Grant Co. in Moses Lake, WA as well. JAL does flight training there too. Boeing ahs a good sized operation there.

I live in North Seattle and the KPAE test flights go low and slow right over my house. Amazing how little noise the new ones make.

And several other fields in the area :)Was at Moses Lake last september, was interesting to see unpainted 737s and 777s doing touch and goes with USAF C-17s (who's main base in the area was closed due to construction work at the time).The terminal was also very interesting to see. Never been inside one that was completely empty, the departure board listing the next flight as 2 days away :)
