Does anybody know how long does it take to go from a flap 40 , to flaps up (time wise) in a real 737.

I recall this coming up years ago... the time of travel for flaps-1 is much longer than the rest of the extension and it is all modelled very accurately in the simulation as I recall.

 

This begs the question, why do you ask? The only time I can think of going from flaps-40 to flaps up in normal operation is after a landing. You wouldn't do that in a go around, instead retracting flaps on a speed schedule.

Just  wondering.
