REX4 and Weather Engine?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm actually considering getting REX 4 for P3D v3, but does it have a weather engine by any chance? When I used FSX a long while ago I loved how it could download real-world weather, can REX 4 do this now with P3D or will I need another tool for that?

If so, what are the best weather engines out there that are compatible with P3D v3?

Cheers guy!

Hi Yorkie

No REX4 doesn't have a built in weather engine.I use the REX4 textures and use REX 3 Essential for it's weather engine.

as far as i know REx are building new weather engines .sort of lost track a bit ,with all the new things that are coming along.

I had Rex essentials with the $5.00 P3d upgrade...downloading it to a completely re-done I-7 2600K dual SSD, Gforce 770....I also Have ASN...looking for a good mix for my freshly installed P3dv3.

A lot of people, myself included use ASN with the REX textures - gives yo9u the best of both worlds, IMHO. ASN has a  free trial period. When you are ready, give it a try.

+1 to Vics' comment above. It does what it says on the Tin.
