August 25, 200520 yr Hey everyone,Anybody have comments on this A/C. i saw it in the august issue of Computer pilot and am thinking about purchasing it.thanksFly Lots, Fly high, Fly safe Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
August 26, 200520 yr I love it. Not to heavy on FPS from the VC - flyable from the VC with no problem.Works right by the numbers in the documentation. The GPS will give casual flyers problems. It's a very accurate real world GPS, and like most real world light AC GPS - no moving map.Works great though.
August 26, 200520 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Not sure if you were really referring more to info on the real world aircraft itself or the company that produced the sim edition. Like said, no moving map but very sophisticated avionics that help but don't require too much attention once you get familiar- and even that shouldn't take too long. Auto pitch control for the prop, throttle management is easier than a Cessna because you just set the condition lever to "ground" or "flight" and there's no mixture to fiddle with. The engine is the same as a Beechcraft B200, and can actually deliver more power than it is putting out in the PCXII, so max power can be had at most high elevation takeoffs and there is automatic tourque limits under normal operation. Will easily cruise 250 knots or better at 25,000 feet, but speed for a normal aproach is in the 80 knot range. Because of the straight wing, power reserve, and a maximum stall speed for single engine aircraft certified in the US of 61 knots you can avoid trouble if you start getting too slow, and it has reverse thrust and powerful brakes meaning it can take a big load or 8 passengers in style (11 high density config) almost anywhere some much smaller piston singles can go. If you are at all wondering if you would like the avionics, they are fairly standard for type so you can find out. AFG has a freeware version in the Avsim library that might not be as functional, but can help you make up your mind. It has a good amount of docs, but Flight1 probably has more. Never saw much about them besides admiration around here,, and if you're sure you like the plane their product is modeled on, you probably won't go wrong just buying it.

Looks like it, but doesn't work like the real unit when you get right down to it.The PC-12 is a fine piece of work, though.
