November 5, 201510 yr Hello, I am currently repainting a fleet of PMDG's -700's and -600's, and i've encountered a problem. I have never painted on the night textures before, but i'm trying to do it now to give the aircraft the best possible paint i can produce. My problem is, when i copy the paint from my master .psd over to the night textures, they are way to big, and when i scale them down to fit, you can clearly see the it in the sim, they do not match up. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or know of any tutorials out there that adresses this? Thanks!
November 7, 201510 yr Hi Mate, Once you've got your day textures applied, take a copy of pmdg_737NGX_fuselage_1 and then resize to 2048x2048. Paste onto the pmdg_737NGX_fuselage_1_night2.psd, flatten and save as pmdg_737NGX_fuselage_1_night2.dds Repeat for the other night maps. November 7, 201510 yr Pasting a 4096x4096 into a selected 2048x2048 results in the texture being resized to fit automaticly. Another way of working having the same result, with less chance to dislocate the texture while pasting into.

November 15, 201510 yr Hey does this help out with the glossiness of the PMDG paint at night? Because I'm having issues but don't know if this can fix it. November 15, 201510 yr The shine is attributed to the shade of the alpha channel in the spec maps. The darker it is, the less shine there is. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 16, 201510 yr Thanks John, so what do I have to do? I just don't like seeing dark and bright patches on the plane surface :(
