PMDG 737 Night Textures
Hey does this help out with the glossiness of the PMDG paint at night? Because I'm having issues but don't know if this can fix it. Glossy and Blurry Night Textures (Help?)
@Charliearon, it's more of the aircraft exterior texture and runway rather than the lights. Is there anything i can add to fix that?

Glossy and Blurry Night Textures (Help?)
Hello, I have perfect day textures but my night ones are glossy and a bit blurry. Is there any setting in Nvidia or FSX that I can do set to fix this. I have everything on 32 bit. FSX: SE FPS Problem with High End Machine
I advise you check this video. Followed most of his tips including using DX10 with Steve's fixer. : https://youtu.be/wSrObxJaJD8 Screenshots: http://i.imgur.com/DvdwFIT.png http://i.imgur.com/BDsc847.png Also note that these settings might not work for you because I'm using a Titan X. But I guess you can play around to find something that works for you. Just save the default Nvidia Inspector profile as back up and the FSX CFG.

The right laptop for FSX and many add-ons.
sgtozzie replied to Hawkeye4077's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI highly recommend you don't waste your money. I had a ROG Asus G75VX (1600 Euros), was running FSX with low graphics settings although it's supposed to be a beast. I suggest you invest in a better desktop

FSX: SE FPS Problem with High End Machine
I honestly think it's FPS limiters and Nvidia settings. When I had FPS limited 30 and Vync on 1/2 refresh rate, 3 pre-rendered frames I was getting stutters. I change it to unlimited, Vync force on and prerendered to 8, then my FPS went upto 40 steady... My advice is to first do the FSX settings to whatever you like then play around with FSX CFG and Nvidia settings .. Also there is no need for 4096, 2048 is still HD

Buying a new PC and looking to boost FSX.
I agree with airernie, get a processor that you can overclock. Also it's very hard to get a system that can slay FSX! I just built a computer a month ago and after a very intensive research below are great spec if you have the cash. Processor: Intel 4790K Processor Cores: Quad Processor Speed: 4.7 OC Stable (highest in game 2nd core 70 degrees) PSU: 1.2 Corsair AX Case: Corsair 780T White RAM: 16 @2400 (Hyper Beast X) Nvidia: Titan X - Video Memory: 12GB Mother Board: Asus Maximus Hero VII Hard Drives: x2 HDD (2TB) x2 Samsung SSD (256GB) - FSX and OS on SSD Operating System: Windows 7 64 Pro CPU Cooling: Corsair Liquid Cooling H100i GTX FSX SE FPS with PMDG 777 GROUND : 35 TO 40 AIR: 55 TO 60 Demo: (Texture loss and blurriness is cause by my windows movie maker and Youtube)

Hi All, I have an Intel 4790K Clocked to 4.7, and a Nvidia Titan X GPU. Running FSX SE on DX10 Which bufferpools settings should I use, currently It looks like this but I am pretty sure thats wrong. Can someone show me how it should look like in my CFG? DX10 Fixer for WOAI
Hi Steve, I was asking the guys in the FSX SE section about this and they told me to ask you. Honestly, this might be to complex to answer here, why not asking Steve directly in his sub-forum here on avsim? Simply open a thread over there an ask specific questions, for example "will the DX10 fixer allow all WOAI models to be used?". I am pretty sure that you will get a definite answer pretty fast from Steve. I read some where that the WOAI AI Model Packs don't work with DX10 (Texture issues). To be honest, I never used to use DX10 until recently when I installed FSX SE, then I gave it shot. For FSinn, I want to expand the library and previously used WOAI and UT2. Now I only have UT2 and want to get either WOAI/IVAO but unsure if there will be issues with DX10. Can the DX10 fixer fix the issues for WOAI if they come up?

AI Models For FSINN Compatible with DX10
I am very technical so I don't know what FSX Native is. What I am trying to say is that I read somewhere that WOAI Models aren't compatible with DX10. I am assuming it's issues with textures. I am running DX10 without* any fixes, using FSX SE. So If I understand what you're saying is that IVAO/WOAI work perfectly with DX10 FSX SE, I just need to run Steve's DX 10 Fix? Thanks!

AI Models For FSINN Compatible with DX10
Hi Guys, Quick Q, tried looking online but couldn't find an answer. I am looking for AI Models for FSINN that are compatible with DX10 (preferably freeware), I know that WOAI isn't compatible but is IVAO Compatiable? I am currently running UT2 and it works with both but I need to expand my librairy. Appreciate the feedback.

FSInn isn't showing up in Addon menu. After attempted fix - no Addon menu at all...
Just to save some of the people that have this issue sometime, the solution that worked for me W7 FSX SE is below. Follow the steps. To summarize, FS creates seperate Module folder outside the FSX Folder, so FSX doesn't find the FSCopilot.dll DLL. So you need to go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE open the DLL and change the path of the FSCopilot to the actual path in the FS folder not the FSX Module folder. This worked for me! Hope this helps! FSX Steam edition does not come with a "Modules" folder, and even if you create one manuallly, it does not do any automatic handling of the DLLs you happen to place into it. The major difference with FSX Steam Edition, is that you must add additional DLL's to the dll.xml file (path referenced above) manually. One complication is that FSX Steam Edition does not necessarily come with a dll.xml file in the folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE If you happen to use the installers for other modules, you may find that one of them has already created a dll.xml file for you, but if FSInn is the first module you are attempting to add, you will likely find that you have to add it yourself. FSX Steam Edition comes with a sample of this file that can be copied and edited. It is found in a rather obscure location within the steam flight simulator main folder: D:\steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\config\DLL.xml Which can then be copied to: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE In this sample file, the following 2 items will need to be edited: Name: Change to "FSCopilot" Path: Change to the path where FSX (steam) can find FSCopilot.dll on disk The path element for users that already have FSX (boxed) installed can simply be pointed to where the FSCopilot.dll file resides within the boxed FSX installation. For example: D:\FSX\Modules\FSCopilot.dll This means that the FSCopilot.dll path entry for FSX Steam Edition can simply point to the FSCopilot.dll that is ALREADY in the FSX boxed installation. If you were installing FSCopilot/FSInn from scratch, your path for the DLL will need to point to where ever the FSCopilot/FSInn put it, or where ever you choose to copy it to. For example, if the FSCopilot created a "Modules" folder for you, and placed the FSCopilot.dll in that folder your path entry would like like "Modules/FSCopilot.dll" or you could even use the entire path if you wanted to such as "D:\steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\FSCopilot.dll" If you have followed the above steps carefully to add FSCopilot.dll to the FSX Steam Edition, you will know FSX:SE has found the FSCopilot.dll successfully when it starts up the next time. Because it will ask you for permission to execute and "trust" the FSCopilot.dll

Saitek Pro Instrument Panel
My Saitek BIP and FIP drivers are not working as well. The ones you download from Saitek. I got the Saitek BIP to work with Spad but the FIP is a nightmare!

Controllers not always connecting at startup
Are you using a Laptop? Also, Are you using a USB Hub? This used to happen to me because the USB hub didn't have enough power from the USB port to power on all these devices, so I got a USB that has it's own power supply! Hope this helps.

sgtozzie replied to hutch3184's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI just built a new computer for FSX, thought of sharing with you my experience. Might help! Specs CPU: 4790K Overclocked to 4.7 comfortably with 1.25v (highest core temp was 95 degrees). I decided to stop and not push it beyond that. Cooling: Corsair h100i GTX Motherboard: Asus Maximus hero VII Ram: HyperX Beast 16GB @2400 PSU: Corsair AX 1200i x2 SSD Samsung 850 256 GB each (1 for Windows 7 and 1 for FSX) x2 HDD 7200 2TB each To be honest, it's a nice built and I like it. I installed Orbx, some airports I have, GEX Middle east and Africa, UTX, REX, EZCA, GSX and others that I probably don't remember. With PMDG 777300ER VC, I get around 25 to 30 FPS and while in the air I can get upto 60 FPS (With full FSX-SE settings max except for traffic) I think I can tweak it more to get at least 40 FPS on ground! ooh and the GPU is Nvidia Titan X
