November 13, 201510 yr Help! I have FSX. I followed Kyle's recommended intructs and uninstalled FSX NGX SP1C. When I then tried to install SP1D, I get an error message that the install is aborted because it can't find fsx.exe. I have FSX installed on my C drive titled "FSX" and fsx.exe is indeed present in that directory! Usually an installer will ask to specify where FSX is if it can't locate it but your installer simply aborts. What can I do? I have Windows VISTA 64 as my OS. Update! I even moved the installer into my FSX directory and I still get the same error and fsx.exe is right next to it!

Urgent requests should be directed to the official support site (linked in my signature). This is the community support forum, where members help members and is not guaranteed a response from the team. Putting the installer next to an exe does nothing. Windows needs to know where the program is, and if it's not clear to the operating system (which is common if your registry is corrupted, or confused as can happen when FSX:SE is installed), then it won't be able to direct the installer where to put things. Submit a ticket at the link in my signature and one of the support team will be able to send you a tool to nail down the install locations of your sims. Kyle Rodgers
