August 30, 200520 yr I've downloaded this and have two questions:1 - how do I set the frequency on the radio for an NDB?2 - the heading bug etc change in 10 deg steps not 1 deg. How do I fix this? (Yes, I know I've seen this question answered but I couldn't find it using a search :( ) Gerry Howard
August 30, 200520 yr I'm not sure about the NDB bit (was surprised to realize there is no obvious way to do it), but I can help with the heading bug:If you CLICK on the + / - dial, the heading (or course) is changed in increments of 10, but if you use your scroll wheel the heading is changed in increments of 1.Not sure why, but I hope you have a wheel mouse :)
August 30, 200520 yr If you have the payware version of FSUIPC, you cn check the box `fix control acceleration` and that wil fix it for you.Allcott

There is NO ADF receiver or display indicator in a Cirrus a/c unless it's been added as "after market equipment" by an avionics shop.European customers of this American build a/c have to add ADF radios/displays to their new a/c. In the U.K., the Cirrus cannot be certified for IFR operations without adding an additional VHF COM/NAV radio also... Apparently, the CAA doesn't consider the dual COM/NAV radios in the GNS430 GPS units as "adequate..." ;) Fr. August 30, 200520 yr Author Thanks. However, in the model there is a button marked ADF which triggered my question. Gerry Howard
August 30, 200520 yr Moderator >Thanks. However, in the model there is a button marked ADF>which triggered my question.I see... or rather, I didn't see... the button you refer to. I'll have to look closer. But, in any case there is no receiver or display, so the conclusion is still valid... ;)Ah, now I see what you're referring to. That is simply a button on the audio control panel that would turn on the ADF Identification, if there happened to be an ADF receiver installed. If you notice, there's also a button for COM3, SPEAKER, PA, PILOT and CREW, but like the ADF button they don't have any function in the sim. August 31, 200520 yr Yeah, Bill, any ASP will have an ADF audio button. I have the same on my Piper Dakota (Garmin GMA340). It does nothing, as I also do not have an ADF. We replaced it with a Strike Finder. These ASP units are "off the shelf" components, and the fact that they may have a ADF channel on them does not mean the aircraft must be equipped with an ADF.Yeah, I have a COM3 on my ASP too, and I am still trying to find where that COM3 is on the panel! ;-)Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
