Where did I get the "No Beaches" add-on?

Featured Replies

Sometime - maybe 2 years ago, I had someone respond to an inquiry about the "sand" around all the water areas in X-Plane and he sent me a program called "No Beaches".

It removed the "beaches" from all inland areas, leaving the ocean beaches intact.

Windows 10 crashed my computer - back to Windows 7 now - but I can't find that program.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

that was me - I will take a look if I can still find that little "patch" for you tonight, heading out to the movies now!

Cheers, Jan

Go ahead and send me a private message with your email, I will mail it to you - it was actually in September 2014...

Thanks Jan.  It is a great program and I'll try to preserve it better.

Any chance we could get the link public, I'd be interested in the patch as well. Thanx

The "patch" is really just a scenery with an invisible, ficticious tiny helipad somewhere you will never find ;-)  BUT this scenery has some GIANT exclusion zones, primed to exclude all "beaches" they hit. Thats all there is to it.

I don´t think interest is strong enough to warrant posting it at the .org - I won´t post it here because posting stuff at avsim is a real hassle ;-)

If you want it, shoot me a pm with an email adress, I will send it your way.

Cheers, Jan
