It is the turning knob in the upper left corner of the captains EFIS panel Usually between 50 and 200 but I don't understand what it means and where to obtain the correct value You need to check the charts for the facility you're arriving at. Take a look at the video below; I go over the minimums for the approach into Vancouver (CYVR). https://youtu.be/KsmMJFOnZM0?t=1043 Jon Skiffington
November 30, 201510 yr Author Thanks alot Is it the same number if I choose Radio instead of Baro? As I understand it (I could be wrong) I should use Radio and not Baro for Cat 3 Autolanding? Thanks again for a good video!
November 30, 201510 yr In the minimums table, you will typically see a series of numbers like this: S-ILS 24R | 320/18 200 (200-1/2) This is interpreted as 320 feet MSL / 1800' Runway Visual Range, 200 feet AGL, (requires measured ceiling 200 feet - 1/2 mile visibility or better). Since Baro = MSL and Radio = AGL, Baro would be 320 and Radio would be 200 on the EFIS. You would use the radio altitude for Cat II and III approaches.
