Ken it's great to see you back in the forums after this terrible disaster. I'm a bit confused as I thought Tom was very adamant that he wasn't using his site to help promote aid relief. I see all mention of Katrina has been removed from the front page...

I don't know which front page you're looking at then. I can see plenty of mention of the community's efforts to provide aid there.

There are numerous links for making donations on this site.Dillon, for what its worth, i've been around Avsim forum for a while now and have always enjoyed reading your posts which i think are always intelligent and entertaining at the same time.CheersDan

http://www.directrelief.org/Unlike most major organizations, they use 1% to administrative costs (unlike the Red Cross who got caught with the 9-11 donations going elsewhere such as executive salaries and new wings on buildings, etc)

I believe your referring to the post AVSIM Store will donate all proceeds from sales through Labor Day weekend to the American Red Cross. You are right it was removed for a while, but has since been replaced with a broader program expanding it to the next five days.

Great point Alex, many don't know about this. The Red Cross is getting rich off this one (unfortunately)... :-roll
