Error installing FSX-SE. It can't find fsx.cfg or scenery.cfg

Featured Replies

I thought I'd try the steam edition of FSX recently so bought it during the recent sale. Have come back to FSX after some time using P3D.

Installed FSX steam edition to my E (SSD) drive but FSX won't start - just keeps coming up with a warning box about not finding the fsx.cfg

So I made an FSX folder as others suggested on Steam forum posts (it appears to be a known issue with some installations) and made a blank fsx.cfg. Now it says it can't find the scenery.cfg grrrr!

Anyone with any idea as to what could have gone wrong with the installation? Would appreciate your help am a bit stumped.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Elaine

Hadn't seen that info! I'll go through it tonight and try installing again.

Thanks for the link!
