Wingtip vortex

Featured Replies

It is not long enough. And, it's at the wrong position; too far from wingtip. How do I fix these issues, please? Give me a breakdown of steps I should follow in order to correct these imperfections. I'd truly appreciate it.

Thank you! <3

Hi Nigel,

To change the position of the wingtip vortices, you need to change the wing geometry in the aircraft.cfg file of your aircraft. You can experiment at your own risk. It might also change the flight dynamic of the aircraft.

Hello,

I don't want to mess with the flight dynamics of the aircraft.

I noticed you mentioned 'position', but not length' of the vortex. Surely, changing the length shouldn't mess with the flight dynamics?

We do not encourage nor do we support modifications made to our effect files.

You can change the length of the vortex at your own risk by changing the lifetime in the fx file.

Keven

There is no point in changing the length. I did a video playback and noticed that the length was longer than what I saw initially. It was perfect.

Thank you for your time.
