I noticed that PMDG Options is not showing in my FSX addons drop down menu.  I understand that it is most likely a corrupted dll.xml file, but when I look at it in notepad++ it looks normal except the only reference to PMDG is "PMDG HUD" I have read that you can simply delete the file and let windows rebuild it when next starting FSX but am a bit scared to do it in case I mess up an otherwise good operation of FSX. 

 

Any advice would be most appreciated!

Do you have any legacy products installed? If you don't have the 744 or MD-11 installed, then it won't be there.
