September 9, 200520 yr I just discovered this , this month , in an article in PC Computer Magazine. It is called FS Autosave and it is a DLL file that is installed in FS9 Modules folder. It makes saves of your flight every 60 seconds as you are flying and saves up to a max of 10 saves , the drops the oldest one each time a new one is saved. If your sim crashes, or you crash, for any reason, you can select one of the saves in your FS9 Flight selection menu and restart the flight from there. Easy to install and works great. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html
September 12, 200520 yr Just an update on this program. It is excellent !!! Had a system crash last night and was back up in the air in the same spot in the flight a few minutes later after rebooting the system........
September 12, 200520 yr Also, you can adjust the time interval betweeen the saves as well as the number saves. I've used this program for years and it's allowed me to recover a busted flight many times. And, drum roll for Pete Dawson, it's freeware.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. September 13, 200520 yr Does it save just the situation, or does it save everything including all the settings in the airplane your flying (ie: FMS, flight plan, etc.)?
September 13, 200520 yr >Does it save just the situation, or does it save everything>including all the settings in the airplane your flying (ie:>FMS, flight plan, etc.)?It saves almost everything. On the PMDG as in most complex aircraft, you might have to change a frequency on the ILS or something, but engine status , altitude, airspeed , all are saved.
