January 18, 201610 yr FSX southwest of Grand Canyon. Even with Scenery Tech Landclass, Arizona is looking rather sandy https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1COV_oadHMxUWNkQlR2cGptUVE/view?usp=sharing
January 19, 201610 yr I don't know if this will ever change with future landclass and textures (perhaps when Orbx release openLC for the US in combination with FTX Global?) but to date I've never seen a combination of texture and landclass that does any of the desert SW true justice. This is an area where photoscenery shines - just look in the screen shots forum for some of HLJames' excellent images for examples - you just have to hold your nose a bit when you get close to the ground. January 19, 201610 yr Agree with Scott above, but Orbx Monument Valley and Sedona do a pretty convincing job as well for the small areas they cover. I'm hoping someday Orbx will do a full Southwest USA region that includes (at minimum) Arizona, Utah and western Colorado. Richard P. Kelly
January 19, 201610 yr Author Ive really been happy with the SceneryTech LC. it did fix the Florissant Colorado area Desert. Just did nothing for the Grand Canyon area, other than the Photoreal Canyon scenery I have installed. I'll keep a lookout.
