September 20, 200520 yr Hi,I'm looking for great freeware aircraft for caribbean island hopping with VFR short flights, 15 - 45 minutes.Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks !
September 20, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Camilo,my suggestion would be the great Shark DHC-6 Twin Otter by Eric Dantes and Mauricio Illanes, dhc-6_requin.zip in the library. Or the FS2002 amphibian version, dhc-6_c-fopi_(amphihie).zip with its FS9 upgrade pack, all_dhc-6.zipAdd to that the great Twin Otter sound package by Aaron Swindle, prosnd-1.zip and prosnd-2.zip, and you're good to go.Of course, the alternative would be the model by Barry Blaisdell, Udo Lemmob, Bob May, and Henk Arants: dh6_amor.zip and its add-on panel by Jean-Pierre Langer, Arne Bartels, and Marc Hardouin: d6pak05.zipCheers, Holger
September 20, 200520 yr There's a very nice Lake Renegade by John Woodward (sorry if I mispelled John's name). Bill Lyons also has some float planes that may make for some interesting flying. Search the file library for these--the Lake is especially fun although I don't fly it as often as I'd like.-John
September 20, 200520 yr Author There's a BN-2 Islander floating around. The Aero Commanders by Milton Shupe are fun too. ----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. September 21, 200520 yr Don't forget any of Bill Lyons' stuff, especially his Grumman Goose. Bill makes float versions of most of his planes, but the Goose is perfect for Caribbean island hops since it's an amphibian (and used down there to carry passengers in real life).Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina
