Good freeware military planes?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recomend some good freeware military planes? I already have the P-3 Orion made by Team FS KBT and the F-18 Super Hornit (made by the same guys who made the Orion). I also found a very good F-16D. Any other good freeware military planes?

Well, DSB has released some nice payware jets as freeware. The Hawks are here in the Avsim library (search for DSB in FS2004 Original Aircraft), and the F-5s are at FlightSim.com (search for DSB in Modern Military Jets).Haven't tried the hawks yet, but the F-5 rocks!-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!

Thanks guys! I will have to try these planes out. Are there any good military transports available? Like maybe a C-5 Galaxy, a 707, or a C-130 Hercules (I have been looking at the captain sim thread closely)PS: I have the PMDG in US Navy colors and the Jet City DC-9 in Navy and Marine colors. PSS: I already have Kirk Olsson's F-16C. I put F-16D by mistake.

Hi Bear,The Hawker Hunters you listed are very nicely done, and it reminded me to add Rick Piper's Chipmunk. Not fast or modern, but absolutely fantastic if you like low and slow. In AVSIM's library:chipmunk2004.zipchipmunkv1.2.zip

Wow! thanks guys I will definatly try some of these planes.By the way here is a very good freeware Vickers VC-10 (of course I have the RAF version) that I forgot I had www.dmflightsim.co.uk (made by David Maltby). It has a beautiful 2D panel, it's own sounds, and extras like cool looking double airstairs and in flight refueling hoses. (I forget if it has a VC, I haven't flown it in a while)

Hi Bear. Do you have the SU-34 working OK in FSX? I have tried and when I get to 56 kts. on takeoff I get a sound file missing error and FSX crashes. I have tried everything I know of. I have replaced all of the FS98 gauges and deleted the afterburner which I thought might be the problem. Any help sure would be appreciated. I have the SU-15 working OKtoo. Thanks, regards, Bob.
