Is there a way to use IVAO's MTL for my model matching in VATSIM? 

 

If not, what can I do to get a corresponding model matching to MTL's one? 

Right now i don't remember thé name but there is a utility that scan all your ai models and do thé matching automatically. Check vatsim forums

It is VMR Generator.

 

Just read carefully the instructions.

 

Very easy to set up and run if you follow the few instructions from the above link.
