I5 3570K to 6600K

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm considering an upgrade from my 3570k running at 4.5 to a 6600k. With appropriate MB and RAM.

I should get my new GTX 970 in the next few days to help with AA settings and overall image quality.

Would this processor upgrade be worth it? Only using FSX steam with DX 10.

Thanks

Not worth it

A went from a gtx 570 to a 970 and literally saw no difference in FSX

If you run 4K there would be a difference but at 1080P - meh

What is your current gpu?

Thanks! That's what I thought. I have a gtx 770, but will receive a new 27 inch 1440 monitor later this week. I'm guessing the 970 will help for this, as well as running higher definition clouds. I'm only using PMDG planes too. New card should help in bad weather I gues. Fps are not a problem with the 3570k running at 4.5. Pretty smooth.
