P3d v3 Autogen and gpu

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I currently run a 980ti with an i7 4790k over clocked to 4.7ghz on windows 10

For some reason I cannot run any sort of autogen trees or buildings or increase my texture resolution above far left sliders.

If I do for any of these then my gpu rises from the 45-55% range all the way up to 99% and I get major stutters etc

I'm not sure what's going on here at all. Happens even with the rest of graphic sliders far left

Things you can try:

Reset the NVidia profile with the restore apply button in NCP.

Turn off all AA functions while testing, then bring back AA after.

Set OC to around 4.5GHz

With HT On use an Affinity Mask=85

This could also be from running frames unlimited in the sim. Gpu usage skyrockets with unlimited frames selected. If you can limit your framerate in some way, you'll see your GPU load decrease
