Processes....

Recommended Posts

I don't know about all of you...but for me, flying FS, for some reason, the process "System Idle Process" uses 70 odd some percent of the CPU power, where as FS9 is only getting 20 odd some percent? Is that normal? I doubt it is, so I hope someone can help me with it :)Thanks

The system idle process doesn't use any resource at all, it's just the percent of the system that's idle and not being used. Normally, FS9 (or any version of MSFS) will use 100% of the available CPU for a single-processor machine. On a hyperthread-enabled CPU the percentage will usually show as 100% on one of the CPU counters and around 5-10% on the other with the overall in the 55-60% range. Doug
