P3D and Weather Radar

Recommended Posts

Hello All -

After using PMDG 737NGX and FSX for quite a few years, I recently moved over to P3D version 3.   I cannot seem to get the Weather Radar working, and to be honest, I am not sure if I am missing a step in activating same.   Yes, I do have the latest version of Active Sky Next, as well as having re-purchased the latest version of PMDG's 737NGX aircraft to run with P3D.

Can anyone help by reviewing what I need to do in order for the weather radar to be operational as it was in FSX?

Thanks,

Kevin

First off, full names are required in the forums.

Are you remembering that the weather radar shows precipitation, not clouds?

Press WX. Fly around precipitation.

As Chris mentioned, the common misconception is that radar is a cloud finder. Be sure you're around precip.

Thanks for the replies.   Yes, I am aware that the radar depicts precipitation and not simply clouds.  My concern that the WX radar is not working is because the "test" colors and audible message does not appear when I press test - as it did while using FSX.

Thanks,

Are you using the P3D version of ASN?
