March 21, 201610 yr I have Fsx Steam and have been considering to buy Activesky Next. Would it be better to just get it from the steam store where it also seems to be cheaper or should get it from the official re-seller - Simmarket? After all, they are both the exact same thing - right?
March 21, 201610 yr Commercial Member Hi, ASN:SE DLC via Steam is compatible with FSX:SE only (as it is DLC for this product). Also, ASN:SE DLC does not support networked configuration (it has to run along with Steam/FSX:SE). The ASN "standard" available outside of Steam supports all variants/versions of FSX and P3D (since 2.5) and is network capable. Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
March 22, 201610 yr Author Oh. Thanks for the explanation. The lack of support for a networked configuration is a non issue for me but I didn't even think about the wider support for P3D which I don't have now but wouldn't want to have to repurchase ASN if later on P3D becomes the "it simulator".
