Assigning 1 core for ASN

Featured Replies

All you have to do is to add this line to your ASN shortcut target

c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1

Example, the ASN shortcut target looks like this now:

"c:\blah blah\blah blah\ASN.exe"

Change it to:

c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 "c:\blah blah\blah blah\ASN.exe"

By the way affinity 1 = core 0.  Next time you click on the ASN shortcut the program will only be running on core 0.

Fortunately it remembers where I put P3D...but all I have to say is wow. Using this method of running P3D on 3 cores, and ASN and whatever other background program on the other core is working miracles. I have never had my sim running this smoothly. I am a very happy simmer at this moment. Thank you for your advice.
