Strange approaches in FMC

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Recently I bought the wilco e190, and am quite surprised how good it is! But yesterday I updated the FMC database via navigraph (a bit late I know) and every time I programme the Approach in the FMC e.g. ILS 4L/VOR 4L I get things such as in LFMN: I 0 4L. Or R 0 4 L Y. I know this probably isn't a bug but could some one guide me to which one is the ILS approach etc.

Cheers

Dylan

i'm not familar with the e190 but usually those are just abbreviations to list out the different approches using only a few characters to save screen space on the FMC.

i would guess that I04L means ils approach for runway 4L

R04LY would most likely mean the RNAV Y approach for runway 4L

you might also see V04 would would mean a vor or possibly vor/dme approach

cheers
