  1. no not in the control panel, but yes i have had re shade in the past but thought i deleted all the files
  2. Ah yeah sorry forgot to mention yes it is with nothing else like re shade running and I’ve already tried that with the same result unfortunately
  3. Hi everyone, was messing around with some presets yesterday on P3DV4.2 and i can't quite remember but this red shade suddenly appeared which I can't get rid of. When i turn off HDR lighting it goes away so it has something to do with it. But I've tried turning all the HDR and post processing options off and back to default in PTA to no avail. Any ideas? https://drive.google.com/file/d/16g8HttfLm6Mz5i85sOet-K70KpmBY07U/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tBXTqhevlxaRVeWn_qRiC0JsB_YOievC/view?usp=sharing
  4. after doing some testing I've found out that it's actually the clouds casting shadows is the culprit, if I switch it off my frames go back up to 50fps! I guess i can just switch it back on once i reach land.
  5. hello Damian, I've turned down my graphics card settings but there's not as many options for radeon as there is for Nvidia so it doesn't do much. I'll do some more testing like you said but I think it's just down to a particularly stormy day over the Atlantic.
  6. Hi everyone, today i was flying EGLL - KMIA in the pmdg 777 and it was my first time using AS16 and ASCA. i was getting around 25fps at aerosoft heathrow and it was overcast. But as soon as i got near the clouds i was getting 5 - 10fps for the rest of the flight. I must admit it was very cloudy the whole flight but wasn't expecting to get that low frame rate. my specs are: i5 6600k 3.2-3.9 ghz 8gb ram radeon rx460 4gb. i'm only using 4 cloud layers with maximum coverage ( i tried high but no differnece) and 90 miles distance. (i also tried 60 miles but no difference) does anyone know how to improve this? thanks, Dylan
  7. Hi everyone, It's my birthday coming up and I am getting a new pc and have found one which looks quite good: PALICOMP Gaming PC INTEL Skylake i5 6600K 3.5Ghz Turbo 3.9Ghz Quad Core - 8GB 2133Mhz Crucial Ballistix Sport - 1TB Sata3 HDD - NVIDIA GTX960 4GB - 1080p Gaming System - No OS - Sharkoon VG5-W Blue Case I'd like to run p3d with a lot of add ons and things while getting quite good fps, could this pc do that? This pc is also £600 which seems really cheap for the specs so could anyone please click on this link and make sure it's legit! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01DUE3U7C?th=1&psc=1 Thanks a lot, Dylan
  8. hope the problem has been resolved now!
  9. Maybe verify integirty of game cache? That fixes missing and corrupt flies in fsx.
  10. Hi Jake I've had the same issue before, and it was very frustrating! What fixed it for me was to lower your fsx settings, mainly the scenery settings, and limit your frame rates to which your computer can always sustain. Also, about your tweaked fsx.cfg, have you tried just using the default one as that could have something to do with it too.
  11. Fixed it thanks to that guide, thank you very much
  12. Hello, I've had the blackbox a340 and a330 for quite a while now and I use the virgin Atlantic liveries frequently. On the a333 there is the new livery but on the a346 there's only the, in my opinion, ugly and old one. I've had a look online but can't seem to find the new livery for the a346. Does anybody know if there is any new Virgin livery at all. Thanks, Dylan
  13. thanks for that guide, it's very useful. I was just thinking in the program data folder it has all the scenery.cfg back ups in, I could try putting one of them into the fsx folder
  14. I will try that now but I have never heard of 'program data' before, I'm using windows 7 and I can't seem to find it. Thanks
