April 2, 201610 yr Hi Steve, Can this be fixed using the cloud settings in the fixer or not? I've tried every setting on or off and it doesn't seem to make a difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDbu_15DWzc Thanks Sid Thomas Derbyshire
April 3, 201610 yr Commercial Member As ever it's very difficult from a short video from one viewpoint to determine exactly what I am looking at. That looks like the a z buffer issue with low cloud and terrain intercepting and would be common to dx9 and dx10 although there might be slight variations between the two. If so then the answer is no given the way fsx implements clouds. My FSX Analysis Blog
April 7, 201610 yr Author Ok thanks Steve. I thought as much, my understanding is this issue doesnt occur in P3D because it uses volumetric clouds? Upgrading isnt an option really so I will just have to live with it. I'm keen to see the new dovetail sim and what positive changes that brings. Thomas Derbyshire
