April 7, 201610 yr Hi I am just planning to make the leap from FSX to P3D V3 and after reading up on AVSIM for the last 3 nights I have come up with the following spec PC I am going to order from SCAN and had 3 questions below I was hoping for some help with. -Intel Core i7 6700K Quad Core with Hyper-threading Professionally overclocked to 4.6GHz -Asus Z170 Pro Gaming with Intel NIC and SupremeFX -16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 3000MHz -4GB EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX -2 x 250GB Samsung Evo SSD & 2TB HDD -750W Corsair RMi PSU -Microsoft Windows 7 pro 3440 x 1440 21:9 ultra-wide curved screen monitor Questions I have is 1 Do you think this would run the following add ons at a nice smooth 30 fps? FTX Global, Active Sky Next Rex 4 + Soft Clouds Traffic program PMDG 737 AND 777 Add-on airports UK2000, Aerosoft, FSDT, Fly Tampa ETC 2 Is the graphics card going to be up to the job of running the monitor at 3440 x 1440 or should I go for a 6GB card? 3 Am I better off going for a six core processor overclocked to 4.4 ghz? Any other advice appreciated Thanks in advance for any help Keithy Keithy George
April 8, 201610 yr I sure hope so because I have ordered a similar rig to you expect a GTX970 card and without the curved monitor. But two 40inchers. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
April 8, 201610 yr I have pretty much the same specs apart from a GTX970, I am currently running a 4.9 overclock. Make sure they fit a 'closed loop water cooler' from corsair for the I7 6700, especially when overclocked. Also I have an LG 34 Widescreen curved monitor running highest resolution via 'display port' no problem Mine is superb with P3Dv3.2, NGX, REX 4 at UK2000 Airports & Orbx.... enjoy Rgds, Shaun
