landclassE.bgl and landclassW.bgl

Hello.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not but I figured I'd give it a try.

I'm trying to help my father figure out an issue he is having with his FS9.  Both he and I have a couple of files in the Addon Scenery\scenery folder called "landclassE.bgl" and "landclassW.bgl".  My FS9 seems to be okay but these two files are causing the sim to crash on him around 20 miles or so from the Whidbey Island VOR in WA state.  If he removes the two files mentioned things work fine.  Both he and I have pretty much the same scenery installed so I can help him with stuff like this.

Here's the trouble...  I have no idea what these files are specifically for.  I thought maybe they were part some FSGenesis stuff but I'm not sure.  I sent him my two files to try but the same issue happens for him.

Does anyone happen to know what these files are specifically for?  What areas, etc.?  Or, if I were to send them to you, do you have a way of finding out?

I have tried searching online for these names but I can't find anything and I'm not sure where to go from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

These don't look like stand-alone tools and instead install many pieces (which I'd rather not do).  Any chance I could send you the files to check out?

The download contains many SDKs, you only need the Terrain SDK, which you can install without installing any of the others.

They can be trusted, many people have installed them in the past.

Installed, the Terrain SDK is only 20.5Mb and consists of a few documents, some samples and three tools. This all gets installed to one folder, which you can direct the installer to put where you want.

regards,

Joe
