Rain Drops Effect

Featured Replies

Hi

The 777 immersion user manual states that in order for effects to appear the engines need to be turned on. For most of the effects yes i understand.

However, Does this mean that if my engines are off and the aircraft is parked at a gate the raindrops effect will not work even if the wx is rainy outside or is there any exception to just this effect? Checking on this as i experienced the same where i did not see any raindrops effect while parked at the gate and engines were shut off.

Hope someone could help

Thanks

Hi Aaqib,

When we first released 777 Immersion in 2014, we found a way for this particular effect to show when the engines were off. After many hours of support in FSX and a bug in earlier version of P3D v3, we decided to revert to the old technique for the raindrops effect, meaning that they only show when at least one engine is on.

Hi Keven

Thanks for clearing that out.

Just one more clarification. Since VFX central is the hub for everything i just want to know if it is compulsory that VFX central is open separately or when firing up FSX for effects to appear?or can i simply open vfx central, install the effects i require, apply them and not have it open while FSX is running?

VFXCentral is not required at each simulator start for 777 Immersion. We might add functionalities in the future that requires it to be launched with FSX/P3D.

Right now, we offer the option to launch it automatically with your simulator to make sure 777 Immersion is installed properly before you start flying.

I hope this answers your question!
