Hello pilots, I was just wondering how many of you out there fly Drones (Quadcopters/ Fixed wing FPV) as a second hobby? I know it can get expensive just as our sim hobby. I purchased a Phantom 2 (new) and set it up with a go pro and have been getting some very nice aerial video. Mine came with a gimble so you can rotate it 360 degrees up and down while in flight. I registered mine with the FAA as (required for my quadcopter) it is not a toy. Anyway, do you or have you ever flown a quadcopter with FPV (first person view) ?

Regards

I fly RC airplanes and have been on/off for about 10 years.  I now fly at an AMA club near my house and have accumulated 8 airplanes.  I also have the Yuneec Q500 4k quad which I have used for some aerial videos.  I'm finding I don't use it as much as I thought I would though!...I have more fun with the airplanes!  I don't have any interest in FPV stuff but it is popular at my club.  Several of them fly the racing quads FPV.
