i am getting ticked off, since i installed windows 10, my p3d flight controls won't work.i don't like the WD in the task bar either.

If you have a third party antivirus software which gives your pc full protection, then there is no harm in disabling Windows Defender. You can take help from this link to disable Windows Defender http://www.howali.com/2017/04/disable-turn-off-windows-defender-in-windows-10-8-7.html

 

But if you don't have an antivirus, then I would recommend you not to disable Windows Defender on your pc as this is risky.
