Hyper Threading Off?

I have i5

Well no need to be sorry. All the i7 owners who are turning HT off are essentially turning their shiny i7's into i5's too :)

After turning it off to reach 4.8 steady, I decided that little bit of extra speed wasn't worth losing HT, so I have dropped back to 4.6 with HT on.

I'm running at 4.5 with HT on. I don't remember the temp differences with it off (wasn't much though) and the performance gain with either FSX or P3D wasn't measureable. So.......I'd leave it on and never think about it again...it's not worth the drop in performance with all the non-FSX stuff.

I get around 10-15° more heat with HT on!

But like you guys state: HT on is overall the better way to go I would say.

4.3-4.5 with HT on is in my eyes the sweet spot for the i7 6700k.
