July 14, 20169 yr I looked at the manual GPS and A/C. I set the NAV on the Auto Pilot to NAV (Arm). On the Garmin GPS panel, I selected GPS but the NAV on the AP did not swith to ARM. How do I get teh AP to track the GPS? Thanks!
July 15, 20169 yr I don't have the MU-2, and don't know which GPS unit you have, but a typical procedure to get the AP to track the GPS course would be: 1. Select Nav Arm on the AP 2. On the GPS, select GPS for the CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) mode so the a/c HSI (Heading Situation Indicator) is driven by the GPS. 3. Hand fly, or use the AP Heading mode, to fly the a/c so that it will intercept the GPS course. When the a/c gets 'close' enough to the GPS course, the AP will switch from Nav Arm to Nav Capture. The AP will not switch to Nav Capture if the a/c is so far off the GPS course that the HSI CDI is 'pinned' to one side of the HSI or the other. You have to get reasonably close to the GPS course for Nav Capture to happen. Al
