October 28, 200520 yr Can you adjust settings on the fly? Rather then going into options, settings, display etc. it would be nice to adjust the setting while flying to improve frame rates. Wasn't there a fyling program that did that many years ago? Back in the 286 days. Not an add on but a flight sim program.JimCYWG.
October 28, 200520 yr In Lago's better days, they sold a program name "FSAssist" which allowed you to specify framerates for different sections of flight. So, you could stutter and taxi around that high detail airport; but for takeoff you could then get more framerates, at the expense, of course, of scenery complexity. Ditto for landing. I've changed settings while flying with no problem. It will reload the entire scenery though.ricardo
October 28, 200520 yr That is what I mean. It would be nice to adjust the settings with the keyboard and the computer just changes them as you fly. No interruption. During landing by hand, you are concentrating on landing not scenery. i would like to change settings on the fly.JimCYWG
October 28, 200520 yr You might want to read the documentation for FSUIPC. Pete Dowson describes how you can get to almost any variable available in FS and set up ways to change it. I tried to read it but it was too deep for me. I was happy just to find out how to toggle AI traffic on and off with a keystroke. R-
October 28, 200520 yr Author These items can be controlled by FSUIPC, and can be changed on the fly:Ground scenery shadowsAircraft shadowsAircraft reflectionsThey are listed in the FSUIPC documentation. With a registered version of FSUIPC, you can set up a game controller button or keystroke combination to control these values directly.Doug
