Montreal - P44 Seminole

Used to live close to Montreal in Dorval ... sailed on the St. Lawrence as a kid.

Cheers, Rob.

Seriously?  I grew up in St Laurent not far from the old Canadair (now Bombardier) factory just east of the airport, it's all housing now.  I was in Montreal back in June visiting my parents.  Had some time to kill before my flight and found Surrey Park which is just west of RWY 06L.  I lived there for 25 years and never knew the park existed, great place to relax and watch the planes fly in.

Great vid Rob.

Seriously?

Yep, mid 70's ... took us a couple of months to get used to the aircraft noise, but after a while everyone in the neighborhood just naturally stops talking and then resumes after the aircraft pass over.  Loved to sail the river ... as much as I could in the summer months ... but probably one of the coldest places I've lived, don't miss the -26 winters and clearing the driveway and walkway.

Small world Robert.

Cheers, Rob.

Grew up on the suburbs of Montreal, small world indeed.  Just went there for a flight and I have to say, my scenery (stock P3D) looks nothing like that.  What's up with all those autogen buildings?  All I see are extremely unrealistic fields all over the island.

What's your secret?  I'll buy 2.
