Auto Pilot and GPS pop ups: This will change all C195 aircraft.

What you need: Carenado B200 installed (we use the 530 GPS from her)

1. go to FSX main/Gauges  and COPY THIS FILE (select, right mouse click, COPY) "GPS530_3D_B200.CAB"

2. go to FSX main/SimObjects/Airplanes/Alabeo C195_BusinessLiner/panel    and PASTE that file in there.

3. open panel.cfg and add the following (MAKE A COPY BEFORE EDITING):

under [Window Titles] add:

Window03=GPS
Window04=Auto Pilot

now scroll down and add the following BELOW/AFTER [Window02] and BEFORE [Vcockpit01]

//--------------------------------------------------------

[Window03]
Background_color=8,8,8
size_mm=524,378
visible=0
ident=10000
window_size= 0.310,  0.370
window_pos=  0.550,  0.160
no_luminous=1
zorder=7

gauge00=GPS530_3D_B200!GPS_530,  0,0,520,378

//--------------------------------------------------------

[Window04]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=348,219
position=0
visible=0
ident=796
window_size= 0.290, 0.290
window_pos= 0.020, 0.190

gauge06=Bendix_King_Radio!Bendix-King Radio AP,           0,0

//--------------------------------------------------------

4. go to FSX main/SimObjects/Airplanes/Alabeo C195_BusinessLiner - and make a copy of the aircraft.cfg file... this is your back up.

open aircraft.cfg

in the [piston_engine] section, change the following:

max_rated_hp= 350

turbocharged= 1    /was 0
max_design_mp= 30        /was 0
min_design_mp=  0                    /no change
critical_altitude= 7000                  /was 0

5. AFTER the [exits] section ADD this entire code:

[autopilot]
autopilot_available= 1
flight_director_available= 0
default_vertical_speed= 700.0
autothrottle_available= 0
pitch_takeoff_ga=8.0
max_pitch=10.0
max_pitch_acceleration=1.0
max_pitch_velocity_lo_alt=2.0
max_pitch_velocity_hi_alt=1.5
max_pitch_velocity_lo_alt_breakpoint=20000.0
max_pitch_velocity_hi_alt_breakpoint=28000.0
max_bank=25.0
max_bank_acceleration=1.0
max_bank_velocity=3.00
max_throttle_rate=0.10
nav_proportional_control=18
nav_integrator_control=0.20
nav_derivative_control=2.0
nav_integrator_boundary=2.00
nav_derivative_boundary=2.00
gs_proportional_control=14
gs_integrator_control=0.26
gs_derivative_control=0.00
gs_integrator_boundary=0.70
gs_derivative_boundary=0.00
yaw_damper_gain=0.000000

save

How To Fly: Take off full throttle and full prop... after lift off, back throttle to 25 mp, and 2000 RPM for climb (it will get super hot if you don't). cruse at 25 mp and 1900 rpm. Speeds are 170 to 180 kts @ 9000 ft.

In this config, she is a respectable mountain flyer.

Enjoy!

I would be interested in having this as a seperate ac to my vanilla 195

Good work !

Good work !

Thank you... I should add that the pop ups can be added without changing the motor in any way for those who want original performance.
