Western Ghats

Featured Replies

Hi,

This is a short video of the Mesh I have made for the west coast of India which includes the Western Ghats a lovely place. The DEM's used are AW3d + SRTM 1Arc (thanks to Andras and Mr. Tony for the inputs / help ).

Just a Mesh not containing any Trees / Buildings / Roads or other geo-located objects , whatever trees or other objects seen are W2XP based.

Xplane shines in the mountains / forests.

The lat long for the mesh is from N19 to N08 and this is only the western coast of India as the western coast has the Sahyadri mountains. No other Meshes used , I have removed the Globay Scenery from Xplane.

The mesh runs fine with 8GB RAM.

Sorry for the jerky recording as I am running Xplane on a 2nd generation laptop. Watching the video may give headaches.

Never uploaded on youtube or vimeo so right now it's on dropbox, it's a tiny download.

Rgds

Looks GREAT Zulfi!

You really did a very nice mesh, and it looks like a great place to soar too, with winds properly set for the ridges we want to ride :-)

Played online. Clicked on it and the player automatically opened on my browser ( Chrome ).

What about the colours on that zone... Is it all that green in real life there ?
