For 12 hours I was unable to access Avsim - I kept getting an error message asking me to contact my host [whoever they are?] about it.  I tried contacting my ISP but they said they couldn't help.  Did anyone else experience this?

The site was down.  It isn't the first time this issue has arisen, and it probably won't be the last. Not to worry . . . it's just life on the internet.

Thanks for the reply, DJ.  When this sort of thing happens you feel kinda helpless without a techie understanding of the Internet.

There are a bunch of sites out there that can tell you if a site is down for everyone or just you. One example:
