Ok, let's have a short briefing:

 

I've set the target altitude or cruise altitude at 25,000 ft, with no VS. The aircraft follows the lateral route correctly, but again it hits 12,000' way before SZW VOR and continues climbing at a rate of about 1,200 fpm by itself (since no VS selected, i.e., VS=0). Seems that in its current state, the aircraft needs to be vertically controlled by ALT SEL and VS, and simply by engaging the NAV mode on the AP is not sufficient to have its vertical path controlled by the FMS.

 

Let me know if you eventually test it by yourself. It could be that we're missing some step (but I don't think so).
