September 29, 20169 yr I use RC4 with almost every flight and on occasion I'm asked to 'cross 40nm from XYZ at ALT'. I can do this easily with FMCs found in AC like the 737, but wasn't sure if setting something similar up in the Q400 was possible. Has anyone done this? If so, care to share how it's done?
September 29, 20169 yr It's not that common in reality, they usually give it for the actual waypoint which is straight forward enough to do. But anyway, back to your question; on the VNAV page you simply enter an offset (it will need a minus sign in front of it), it's the middle column of the TO line (shown in red below): You'll need v1.017 or later for the offset to work properly, further discussion at http://majesticsoftware.com/forums/discussion/1848/tod-anomaly/p1. Alternatively, you could make a whole offset waypoint but that's a rather long winded way of doing it. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
September 29, 20169 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give this a try and see if I can get it to work.
