FSX Default Aircraft

Featured Replies

Also check out Alexander Metzger's flight models for default FSX aircraft - some of which are very good.

None of the default aircraft are fantastic, but some are decent. Overall I think the C172, DHC-2 Beaver and J3 Cub are the best of the bunch in terms of realism. I quite like the F/A-18 as well, and the P-51 Racer isn't all bad.

Worst of the bunch are the B58 Baron, B350 King Air and Mooney which hold FS2002 standards.

I'm no big fan of the big jets, but mods for the B737 can make it fun (Check out the Boing 737 NG Mega Packs).

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

The default A321 is stupidly unrealistic. Its engines are overpowered and the flight dynamics make the aircraft too uncontrollable.
