I was looking to upgrade my GTX650 2G to a GTX 970, but now the new Pascal cards have come out.

 

I see many positive reviews for the GTX 1070 and 1080 with x-plane.

But is there anyone who has first hand experience with the cheaper 1060 ? 

 

I do not plan to run 4K, I wonder if the 1060 is sufficient, as it should perform aproximately like the 980.

Definitly get a 1070. X-Plane can make any card choke, and it'll easily do that to a 1060.
