October 6, 20169 yr Hello All - It's been a while since I've posted (i've been away for quite sometime), I've recently had a motherboard failure and will be in the process of reinstalling FSX and all the addons (including PMDG 777, 737, J41) and FS2Crew) onto a new machine. I have no idea where my original FSX discs are (i believe there are 4 of them) and not looking forward to a treasure hunt, is it possible to purchase the FSX steam edition and use my add-ons such as PMDG or do I have to purchase the "Steam" edition of PMDG? This answer will determine if i'm tearing the house apart tonight:) Thanks in advance! Rob Sciarrino
October 6, 20169 yr FSX and FSE SE are basically the same platform, apart from some minor tweaks to improve stability and to use Steam multiplayer. All you need to do is install your original/backup PMDG installers and you'll be good to go. I'm loving my Steam Edition  Alaister Kay
October 6, 20169 yr Author Awesome, thats such good news! I really have no idea where my other 3 discs are Rob Sciarrino
October 6, 20169 yr For 777 & NGX you need to download latest complete installers. I don't think J41 has been updated for Steam but may be possible w/ some tweaking. Check J 41 Forum Mike

Hi Rob, Here are some threads on the J41: http://www.avsim.com/topic/473650-pmdg-js41-is-it-compatible-with-fsx-steam-edition/ http://www.avsim.com/topic/494316-fsx-steam-compatible-yet/ For the 777 and 737 NGX you need to download the latest full installers unless you already have them.
